Welcome to all Newcastle Elementary families

I am excited to meet you, partner with you, and create future traditions with you. We know you are excited about the new school also and that you have many questions about it and the plans for it. Here are some of the ways we’ve designed to share timely information with you:

Construction Matters is a monthly newsletter. It comes through the USPO and now via e-mail.

You can check current and past issues of Construction Matters on the district website at www.issaquah.wednet.edu. (Click on "in the spotlight").

Newcastle Elementary’s steering committee includes a representative from each area neighborhood. Those representatives are sending you this e-mail today and are a great source of information for you. They welcome your thoughts and questions which we discuss at each monthly steering committee meeting. Their advice helps build the content for each newsletter.

We want you to attend Newcastle Elementary in September 2004.

If you are currently enrolled at Apollo, you will automatically be transferred to Newcastle.

If you are attending another school and WANT to attend Newcastle, please plan to register on February 5^th 8:00-10:00am or 4:00-6:00pm at Apollo (we will have a table in the front).

If you are a preschool parent with an incoming kindergartener, your registration dates are March 4^th & 5^th. (more info to come)

I share your enthusiasm, value your interest, and am excited about opening the doors to Newcastle Elementary. You are the energy that helped make the school a possibility (local voters approved the construction bond in 1999), and I welcome your future support and involvement with Newcastle Elementary.
